Job Description

We are looking for an outstanding, dynamic and inspiring ICT Engineer to join our new Prime National School located in 6th of October – Giza, School will open its doors to students in September 2023, while this position is effective from September 2022.

  • Facilitate and provide IT support to all Administrative and Educational staff. Facilitate the use of systems/applications Intranet and Internet to all users and insures best practices. Provide IT support to all Administrative and Educational staff.
  • Install, configure and maintain servers, PC’s peripherals, IT tools/equipment, packaged software, antivirus, utilities, software tools and software patches.
  • Install, administer and upgrade the computer network infrastructure.
  • Ensure all new equipment is functional before it is distributed.
  • Troubleshoot problems arising from hardware, software, application systems, network infrastructure virus and security related attacks.
  • Set up equipment in offices, classrooms, and labs. Along with setting up accounts and profiles for all users.
  • Respond to emergency call to classrooms for equipment, software and network problems and provide technical support for software projects at school.
  • Assign priorities to problems reported, based on the severity and communicate with the concerned parties (IT, vendors, suppliers, etc.).
  • Communicate with users in assessing their on-going needs, recommend best practices, effective solutions and implement to produce desired results.
  • Set up and ensure compliance of procedures related to daily backup and other periodic routines – Software patches, data transfers/interchange, port/ import/ export and restoration from backups when required.
  • Maintain records of and manages site licenses for software purchased. Notifies IT when upgrades/ renewals are required.
  • Maintain current inventory of hardware, software and passwords
  • Initiate effort and energy beyond the typical work day, where the tasks require additional commitment.
  • Attend staff meetings and serve on committees as required.
  • Perform other duties as requested by direct & dotted reporting line managers / supervisors.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Undertake small to medium-sized IT projects as instructed by the IT Supervisor.
  • Provide desktop Support.
  • Maintain Windows Client.
  • Setting up and configuring new laptops and desktops.
  • Install authorized software to laptops and desktops.
  • Configure and install PCs and printers.
  • Support for Printers and Scanners.
  • Answer phone call that is related to IT support.
  • Taking staff or clients through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the telephone, to help set up systems or resolve issues.

Requirements and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information technologies, or closely related field.
  • MCP Certification
  • Years of experience from 2 to 3
