From Awareness to Action: EEP Hosts the First Well-being Conference Focused on Student Support and Strengthening Awareness Across Educators, Parents, and Students

Egypt Education Platform (EEP) hosted the first edition of the EEP Well-being Conference, building on the success of its safeguarding forum and expanding it into a full-scale conference. The event marked a natural progression in widening the conversation to a broader network of educators, parents, and specialists, bringing together key stakeholders for a focused day of dialogue on student mental health and emotional well-being.

The conference took place at GEMS International School Cairo (GISC), following strong interest and participation from across the EEP network and the wider education community.

Designed to move beyond awareness, the conference combined keynote sessions, a student-led panel, and interactive workshops, addressing both the realities students face today and the practical approaches required to support them effectively.

The event featured contributions from leading voices in the field, including Sara Aziz, Founder and CEO of Safe Egypt, who addressed child protection and awareness, and Roba El Gindy, Founder of TRIBE, who explored the connection between schools and families in supporting student well-being. A student panel further highlighted the importance of student-led perspectives, reflecting a shift towards more participatory and inclusive approaches to well-being in schools.

In parallel, a series of workshops provided educators and parents with practical tools and strategies that can be applied directly in classrooms and at home. The sessions focused on key areas such as safeguarding, positive discipline, digital well-being, and supporting students through critical developmental stages.

Aligned with this focus on safeguarding and professional development, EEP also launched its Educators Development Workshop Series (UK CPD Certified), with the first workshop delivered alongside the conference at GISC, further extending the platform’s commitment to practical, ongoing learning.

The EEP Well-being Conference reflects the platform’s commitment to a holistic education model that prioritizes student well-being and safeguarding, while reinforcing continuous professional development through practical, application-focused learning for educators.
