Egypt Education Platform (EEP) marked a major milestone in its nationwide expansion with the official opening of GEMS International School Somabay (GISS) on November 23. The launch represents a significant step forward in elevating educational offerings along Egypt’s Red Sea coast and reflects EEP’s ongoing commitment to delivering world-class learning environments across the country.
The ceremony was attended by Major General Ahmed Donkol, Chairman of Safaga City Council, representing Major General Amr Hanafi, Red Sea Governor, alongside a distinguished group of education leaders and strategic partners. The attendees gathered to commemorate the opening of this pioneering school in Somabay.
Now in its inaugural operational year, GISS follows an International Curriculum aligned with American standards and represents EEP’s dedication to providing high-quality, globally benchmarked education. As part of the GEMS stream, the school integrates academic excellence, innovation, and holistic development within Somabay’s unique natural setting, cultivating creativity, environmental awareness, and global citizenship among its students.
