At Trillium & Petals, we believe that a child’s early years are a crucial period of development, shaping their future potential. Our preschools are dedicated to creating a nurturing environment that fosters not only cognitive growth but also social and emotional development.

Inspired by the visionary work of Dr. Maria Montessori, we prioritize the integration of Social Emotional Learning (SEL) into our curriculum. SEL helps children develop the skills they need to understand and manage their emotions, build positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.

Our Approach to SEL:

  • Self-Awareness: We encourage children to recognize and express their emotions, building a strong foundation for self-understanding.
  • Self-Management: Through mindfulness and meditation practices, children learn to regulate their emotions and behaviors.
  • Social Awareness: We foster empathy and perspective-taking, enabling children to connect with others on a deeper level.
  • Relationship Skills: We teach children effective communication skills, conflict resolution strategies, and the importance of cooperation.
  • Responsible Decision-Making: We empower children to make informed choices and take responsibility for their actions.

A Holistic Learning Environment:

Our classrooms are designed to promote independence, creativity, and social interaction. Children are encouraged to explore, experiment, and learn at their own pace. Through a variety of activities, such as dramatic play, art, and music, children develop their imagination, language skills, and problem-solving abilities.
