EEP Con 2024: Educating for Tomorrow – A Transformative Experience for Educators

November 27, 2024

The second edition of EEP Con 2024: Educating for Tomorrow concluded with great success on November 27th, bringing together over 500 educators from across the Egypt Education Platform (EEP). Held at GEMS International School Cairo, the conference served as a powerful platform for professional development, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas, all aimed at advancing educational excellence.

A key highlight of the event was the insightful keynote address by David Pontich, EEP’s VP Education, who emphasized the role of artificial intelligence in enhancing human intelligence. His talk focused on how educators and leaders can inspire actions within their communities to create lasting impacts in the evolving world of education. Another keynote speaker, Nada Rashed, a certified Change Management Practitioner, shared her expertise on the different types of agility required to navigate today’s fast-paced educational landscape, including mental, change, and results agility.

The conference’s engaging panel discussion titled “Fostering Wellbeing: Creating a Healthy School Environment” captured the attention of attendees as it addressed the tools and methods used to promote well-being in schools. Esteemed panelists such as Rachel Hardwick, Head of Primary at GEMS TBS; Howayda Sharabash, High School Counselor at Hayah International Academy; and Dr. Hanan El Malla, School Psychologist at Hayah West, discussed the well-being challenges facing today’s students and the importance of maintaining a healthy school environment.

The day continued with enriching workshops led by EEP educators, covering a wide range of relevant topics including lesson planning, classroom management, positive discipline, AI integration, and differentiated learning. These interactive sessions provided educators with practical tools and techniques that can be applied in their own classrooms.

The event culminated in a series of fun and interactive team-building activities organized by WellSpring, which allowed participants to bond outside the classroom and strengthen their sense of community.

As we reflect on the success of EEP Con 2024, we are filled with pride and gratitude for the dedication and passion of our educators. Their unwavering commitment to providing high-quality education is the driving force behind the continued academic excellence of our schools.

We look forward to building on the success of this year’s conference, elevating educational standards, and fostering a culture of continuous learning within our growing community.
