Egypt Education Platform (EEP) proudly hosted the second edition of its annual Safeguarding Forum on Sunday, May 4th, at Kamelizer, District 5, under the theme “Change of Behavior.” The forum brought together Heads of Schools, Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs), and safeguarding team members from across the EEP network for a day of collaboration, professional development, and meaningful discussion.
This year’s forum featured two distinguished guest speakers. Sara Aziz, Founder and CEO of Safe Egypt, introduced a new initiative now being rolled out across EEP schools. This program empowers students to take an active role in safeguarding by developing and delivering awareness training to their peers—reinforcing our student-centered approach to wellbeing and protection.
Amina Diab, renowned Child and Adolescent Psychologist and author, led an insightful session on teenage behavior, offering expert advice on how educators can differentiate between typical and concerning behavior, manage classroom dynamics, and work collaboratively with parents to support students.
The event reflects EEP’s unwavering commitment to fostering safe, inclusive, and empowering environments for every learner. We extend our sincere thanks to our Safeguarding team for organizing this important initiative and to all participants for their dedication to student wellbeing.
