Students from across the Egypt Education Platform (EEP) network gathered at GEMS International School Cairo (GISC) for this year’s Act for Impact Challenge. Participants from GEMS British School Madinaty (GEMS BISM), Madinaty Integrated Language Schools (MILS), Madinaty Language School (MLS), and GISC showcased socially driven projects aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, specifically SDG 2: Zero Hunger and SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being.
The event featured a wide range of creative initiatives—from innovative business models and original songs to awareness campaigns—all developed under the “Just 1 Thing” (J1T) initiative. These projects highlighted the students’ dedication to making a tangible difference in their communities.
Adding to the event’s impact, Cherif Azzouz, Head of Voluntary Initiatives at Misr El Kheir Foundation and CEO of Crossroads International, delivered an inspiring keynote address. He shared valuable perspectives on youth empowerment and the importance of community-driven action, motivating students to continue leading positive change.
This year’s challenge showcased the strong collaboration and synergy among EEP schools, as students exchanged ideas, inspired one another, and demonstrated the power of student-led initiatives.
