The GEMS Model United Nations (GEMUN) event took place at GEMS BISM and gathered various EEP schools, including GEMS TBS, GISC, Hayah Main Campus, MLS, and MILS. The conference, organized by EEP, tackled a wide range of pressing global issues through six different councils. These ranged from women’s rights in Afghanistan and the opioid crisis, to cryptocurrency’s impact and human rights violations in Syria and Ukraine, among many others. It was a platform for students to discuss global issues and develop their critical thinking and debating skills. This collaborative event provided them with the opportunity to learn from each other and gain valuable insights.
